A new oil pipeline serving a 10-well drilling project on Carlsbad’s western edge received approval from the City Council; Street restriping in Roswell is scheduled to begin Monday and continue through June 17; Backyard chickens will remain prohibited within Lovington city limits; safety officials are reminding residents never to leave children, pets or elderly individuals unattended in a vehicle.
