Mexico Junior College in Hobbs men’s and women’s track and field teams captured national titles, several Lovington and Hobbs athletes stood out at high school championships; Roswell will hold a special City Council meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday to consider approval of the preliminary Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget; Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a settlement with Albertsons Safeway LLC , that will end the company’s use of synthetic antimicrobial pesticides in misting systems on organic produce at its Texas stores.
